The 2017 Base Camp Bash to benefit Cottonwood Institute (CI) went off without a hitch! The cozy atmosphere of the Posner Center provided the perfect backdrop for a fun, lively evening of socializing with friends, new acquaintances, and fellow supporters of CI. And, drum roll please, we were able to raise over $71,000 to support our high need programs and students in 2017! We also had the incredible honor of recognizing two outstanding Cottonwood Institute students who won our 2017 Ripple Effect Award. Read more about the Ripple Effect Award by clicking here.
The room was welcoming and full of fun, generous supporters at our Base Camp Bash 2017 live and silent auctions and paddle raise. The live auction included sought after items like a 7-night ski trip at a private penthouse suite in Whistler, B.C., a 7-night stay at a private home in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and a 3-night stay at Markham Vineyards in Napa Valley’s wine country. Andy Seth, our live auctioneer, was beyond energetic, a force to be reckoned with, and he can create a bidding frenzy the crowd cannot deny!
If the auction itself wasn’t already enough, let’s talk music, food, and refreshments! The Colorado bluegrass band Mayhem Gulch set the tone for a delightful evening of laid-back tunes. To start it off, our VIP happy hour was more than special with 2 unique cocktails from 291 Colorado Whiskey and The Squire Lounge, appetizers from Butcher’s Bistro and treats prepared by amazing local restaurants, including, Cake Crumbs and PB Love. Our food sponsors rocked it: breakfast for dinner with the one and only Snooze, including their signature S’mores pancake for dessert, local beer from Great Divide, and great wine courtesy of Idella Wines.
