Our Impact: A Mid-Year Update From The Cottonwood Institute

Casa de la EsperanzaWe hope everyone has been having an extraordinary summer! We have been busy this year and wanted to send out a quick mid-year update about what we have been up to, our impact so far this year, and a few projects we have been working on.

Impact. So far this year, we have been able to connect 315 youth to the outdoors, including over 10,000 contact hours, over 4,000 service project hours, and we still have a few months of programming before the end of the year!

Garden Against HungerExpanding. We are expanding our programs with Strive Preparatory Schools, primarily serving low-income Latino(a) students, this fall to include 3 campuses, up from 1 campus the past 3 years. Click Here to learn more.

New Project. We are partnering with Boulder County Parks and Open Space to connect Latino(a) families at Casa de la Esperanza to nature by putting together a series of picnics, hikes, and overnight camping trips that are accessible by public transportation. Stay tuned for more info, but in the meantime, to learn more about our past programs with Casa, Click Here.

Awesome Project. New Vista High School designated their Learning Garden a Garden Against Hunger and will donated extra produce to Boulder Food Rescue to be distributed to families in need in Boulder County. For more information, Click Here.

A huge shout of thanks goes out to all of our donors, supporters, and cheerleaders who make our work possible!
