Elevations Foundation Community Grant 2021-22

Elevations FoundationElevations Foundation chose Cottonwood Institute as one of their 2021-2022 Community Grantees!

This grant will enable Cottonwood to continue to strengthen Community Adventure Program (CAP), our core educational program. CAP is a class offered during the school day for academic credit in middle and high schools across the Front Range, including in Boulder, Lafayette, Aurora, and Denver. During CAP, students go on hikes and explore their neighborhoods; embark on overnight camping trips; learn about and discuss local environmental issues; and design and implement a student-directed Action Project in their community.

Elevations Foundation grant reception 2021-22Each year, Elevations Foundation supports local nonprofits in early childhood development, environmental education and sustainability, and mental health. Since 2010, they have provided over $524,600 in community grants! This organization is a division of Elevations Credit Union, an award-winning Colorado financial institution with more than 170,000 members. Their goal is to provide members with empowering banking experiences and creative solutions. They host free financial seminars to adults and youth to support financial literacy in our communities.

Our 2021-2022 Community Grant kicked off on November 30th at a reception, where our founder & executive director Ford Church was able to meet other community grantees and hear from Elevations Foundation. Thank you so much for your support this year!
