Beats on the Creek 2025 was one for the books. Thanks to the incredible generosity of Coohills, a lineup of amazing local bands, and a community that showed up week after week, we wrapped up a successful season full of music, good food, and meaningful connection, all in support of Cottonwood Institute’s students and outdoor programs.

Each Tuesday night, the bridge outside Coohills came alive with live music, delicious food and drinks, and the energy of people coming together to enjoy summer in the city while giving back. We had a blast celebrating the winners of our nightly sweepstakes, who walked away with prizes like a free hotel stay, a Coohills gift card, or a bottle of bubbly. We’re so grateful to our generous hotel partners – The Limelight Hotel, The Crawford Hotel, The Oxford Hotel, Catbird, and Hotel Teatro – for donating those experiences and helping make each night extra special.

A huge shout out to Coohills not only for hosting Beats on the Creek, but for selecting Cottonwood Institute as this year’s beneficiary. Their support means the world to us, and we’re thankful for their partnership – and for their staff, who worked so closely with our team each night to make sure everything ran smoothly. Cottonwood Institute raised over $32,000 to support our summer programs to connect more middle and high school students to nature and inspire them to protect it! We could not have done this without the generosity of our sponsors, including: Climax Molybdenum, Colorado Parks & Wildlife, Kelly Law Partners, Milgrom Daskam & Ellis, Trent Peaker from MegaStar Financial, and Sustainable Advisors Alliance.

We’re also sending big thanks to our volunteers, who helped with everything from ticket sales to setup, and to everyone who attended, danced, donated, and helped spread the word about our work. Special appreciation goes out to the bands who made the music happen – Funkiphino, The Long Run, Stone Beat Invasion, Ninety 2K, The Railbenders, Mr. Majestyk’s 8-Track Revival – including a last-minute set by Grunge Lite that kept the good vibes going strong.

Together, we raised important funds that will help connect more students to the outdoors, build their confidence, and inspire them to take action to protect the environment and their communities.

If you weren’t able to attend this year and you are inspired by our programs, please consider making a donation to Cottonwood Institute today!
