Quote for Friday, Sept. 15th

“This is the true joy in life, the being used up for a
purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; The being a force of nature
instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances,
complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of
the opinion that my life belongs to the community and as long as I live it is
my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when
I die, for the harder I work the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own
sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a splendid torch which I have got
hold of for a moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before
handing it on to future generations.”
-George Bernard Shaw

This quote in my opinion is mostly about loving yourself and being proud of who you are and demonstrate that to other’s by sharing your ideas and feelings. I believe that my life belongs to the community because what is going on right know like programs, internships for Juniors and KGNU radio are sooner or later becomeing part of my education. I think that if I work harder to make this world a better place I will have a better opportunity in becoming someone really important and that really counts for my future and future generations. We never know when death is coming towards are way so, instead of making bad decisions we should support and take care of each other. I will like for our community to be a better place than it is know, remember any one can make a huge difference.
