i don’t think it’s necessarily that, it’s just our ability to understand the impact of something if their use persists over a long period of time. i think that a lot of the reason we’re having such an environmental backlash is because when we first started using the things we now know are bad, we didn’t have the technology or science to predict what will happen if we continue using a lot of coal or whatever. there was no way we could’ve been able to weigh the pros and cons of things like that if we didn’t have the knowledge to be able to say why on earth we shouldn’t do it.
