Cottonwood Institute Brings Supporters, Partners, and Staff Together at Woods Boss Brewing for Community Networking and a Celebration of Impact
Written by Sara Grillo, CAP Instructor and Events Coordinator. On September 22, we gathered at Woods Boss Brewing for a Cottonwood Institute Happy Hour, bringing together staff, supporters, community partners, and folks from Colorado Startup Week for an afternoon of community networking, connection and celebration.
As people trickled in, they grabbed a free beer token courtesy of Colorado Parks and Wildlife, checked out our networking bingo for a chance to win a prize, and settled in for some great conversations. It was a chance to catch up with familiar faces, meet new people, and connect with others who care about making a difference in our community. We love having opportunities like this to bring our community together outside of our usual programs and events!
There was plenty to celebrate! We took the opportunity to reflect on our latest impact report and the incredible work Cottonwood Institute has done this year to connect middle and high school students to nature and inspire them to protect it. We’re proud of what our students and instructors have accomplished, and we’re grateful for the community that makes this work possible. It’s thanks to the support of our partners, donors, and community members that we’re able to keep creating opportunities for students to get outside, explore their interests, and take action on issues they care about.
A special thank you to our hosts at Woods Boss Brewing for their generosity! $1 from every pint sold went directly back to support Cottonwood Institute programs. We’re grateful to have local businesses like Woods Boss helping make our work possible.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Woods Boss. We appreciate your time, conversations, and continued support. We’re lucky to have such a great community behind us, and we look forward to what’s ahead!
If you would like to join our amazing community of supporters, please consider making a donation or becoming a monthly donor! You’ll help invest in our students and programs for many more years to come!
