Summer is just around the corner and Cottonwood Institute is gearing up for a season full of fun, community, and impact! Whether you’re into live music, golf, cornhole, or just kicking back with a cold beverage for a good cause, there’s something for everyone this summer. Join us for these exciting events from June through August 2025, and help support our mission to connect students to the outdoors and empower them to be changemakers in their communities.
Beats on the Creek Summer Concert Series
Tuesdays: June 24, July 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29 | Restaurant opens at 5:00PM, Bands play from 7:30-9:30pm 
Coohills Restaurant, Denver, CO
Kick off your summer evenings with live music, great drinks, and a beautiful setting along the creek! Hosted by Coohills Restaurant, this summer concert series supports local nonprofits like Cottonwood Institute. With bands ranging from funk to classic rock tributes, each night is a guaranteed good time.

Suggested donation: $10 at the door – supports Cottonwood Institute.
The Throwdown: Charity Cornhole Tournament
Saturday, July 26, 2025 | 10AM – 3PM(ish)
McGregor Square, Denver, CO
Gather your friends for one of Denver’s most fun and laid-back charity tournaments—The Throwdown! No cornhole experience? No problem. This event is perfect for players of all levels. Grab your clubs and join us for 9 holes of beginner-friendly par three golf! Presented by Ryan Feaster with Realty ONE Group Five Star, this invitational features drinks, food, prizes, and all proceeds benefit Cottonwood Institute in memory of Rivers Stilwell.
