Wildland Firefighter Project: 7-day summer course for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders to practice wildland firefighter training, wilderness survival skills, and fire mitigation Action Projects. Date: June 13 - 19, 2009. Location: Near Buena Vista, Colorado. Ages: 15 - 18. Price: $895.
Horse Caretaker Project: 7-day summer course for 8th, 9th, and 10th graders to go horseback riding, practice wilderness survival skills, and complete horse caretaker Action Projects. Date: June 24 - 30, 2009. Location: Nederland, Colorado. Ages: 13 - 16. Price: $995.
Stone Age Survival Project: 7-day summer course for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders to practice stone age survival skills, wilderness survival skills, and complete organic gardening and sustainable building Action Projects. Date: July 8 - 14, 2009. Location: Crestone, Colorado. Ages: 15 - 18. Price: $995.
Endangered Wolves and Animal Tracking Project: 7-day summer course for 8th, 9th, and 10th graders to learn about endangered wolves, practice wilderness survival skills and animal tracking, and complete wolf caretaker Action Projects. Date: July 18 - 24, 2009. Location: Near Gardner, Colorado. Ages: 13 - 16. Price: $895.
Mountain Biking Survival Project: 7-day summer course for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders to mountain bike, practice wilderness survival skills, and complete mountain biking trail building and maintenance Action Projects. Date: August 1 - 7, 2009. Location: Near Nederland, Colorado. Ages 15 - 18. Price: $995.

The Cottonwood Institute is excited to offer 1-2 day survival workshops for adults to practice winter survival, survival shelters, survival fires, and an opportunity to apply those skills during an overnight trip. Winter Survival Skills Workshop: 1-day workshop where we will practice winter survival skills, winter survival priorities, quinzhee snow shelters, snow trench, winter fires, and winter survival scenarios.Dates: January 24, 2009 and March 14, 2009. Price: $100.
Survival Shelter Workshop: One day workshop where we will practice survival scenarios, survival priorities, survival kits, pine needle shelters, lean-to shelters, and debris shelters.Date: May 9, 2009. Price: $100.
Survival Fire Workshop: One day workshop where we will practice survival scenarios, survival priorities, survival kits, survival fires, 1-match fires, striker and cotton ball fires, and friction fire.Date: May 23, 2009. Price: $100.
Essential Survival Skills Overnight: Two day overnight course where we will participate in a 24-hour survival scenario and actually apply the survival skills we have learned. SO-1 Dates: June 6-7, 2009. SO-2 Dates: June 20 - 21, 2009. Price: $295.
Mt. Evans Volunteer Project:This weekend project is a free volunteer opportunity hosted by the Cottonwood Institute to walk our talk and give back to the mountains each summer.Date: August 21 - 23, 2009. Price: Free!
