Volunteer

The Cottonwood Institute is a small grassroots organization and we depend on volunteers to help pull everything off. Below are a few ways you can volunteer:

Advisory Committee:
Goldlakeviewfc2 Advisory Committee Members are active volunteers that have core competencies in strategic planning, finance, fundraising, marketing, programming, or technology and advise the Executive Director and Board of Directors. Advisory Committee Members are not considered Board Members and do not have voting power. For more information about Advisory Committee Member expectations and how to join our team, please contact Ford Church at 303.447.1076 or via Email.

Board of Directors:
Adamfiedor Board Members are active, voting members that, with the help of Cottonwood Institute employees, advisory committee members, interns, and contract instructors, govern the business of the Cottonwood Institute and contribute to the success, long-term viability, and sustainability of the Cottonwood Institute. For more information about Board Member expectations and how to join our team, please contact Ford Church at 303.447.1076 or via Email.

Base Camp Bash Fundraising Committee:

Tentfe06 We are also looking for volunteers to help plan our annual Base Camp Bash fundraising event held each spring. In terms of a commitment, we are looking for dedicated people that can attend 4 planning meetings to create goals, come up with a game plan, figure out what logistics we need to complete, and put the plan into action. We need everyone help contacting local environmentally friendly businesses to get outdoor gear, art, wine, restaurant gift certificates, vacation packages, and eco-friendly products and services donated for the silent auction or straight up cash donations. Finally, we need people to help coordinate the event logistics based on your core-competency/interest, such as designing marketing materials, attendance/ticket sales, media releases, securing a space, food, beverages, entertainment, etc. If you are interested in joining the Base Camp Bash committee, please contact Ford Church at 303.447.1076 or via Email.

Mt. Harvard Volunteer Project:
Groupphotomh2 We are looking for a Boulder/Denver company or community organization to sponsor the next Mt. Harvard Volunteer Project in collaboration with the Colorado Fourteeners Initiative. We are looking for 8 - 12 adventurous souls to help complete much needed trail building and restoration projects on Mt. Harvard, Colorado's 3rd tallest 14,000 foot peak. We are interested in collaborating with groups that can make a charitable contribution in the amount of $2,500 to help underwrite the costs of the project. This is a great opportunity for a group to build communication and teambuilding skills outside of the office and for everyone to walk their talk and give back to the mountains that we all use and love. For more information about this volunteer project please contact Ford Church at 303.447.1076 or via Email.
