are a great opportunity to watch movies
about social and environmental issues, engage in a rich discussion following the movie, and to learn more about how the
Cottonwood Institute is "Changing the World
One Adventure at a Time!" These
events are free and open to the public, but voluntary donations will be used to help underwrite our educational
programs at public schools in the Boulder/Denver area. In the past, we have showed: The 11th Hour, Freedom Writers, Who Killed the Electric Car?, What The Bleep Do We Know?, An Inconvenient Truth, and The Next Industrial Revolution. If you have a movie that you would

Mt. Evans Volunteer Project - We
are looking for 12 hearty souls to volunteer complete much needed trail
building and restoration projects on Mt. Evan's, one of Colorado's most
popular 14,000 foot peaks. The Cottonwood Institute has adopted this
peak for the past three years and this is a great opportunity for us to

Free 3-Season Survival Skills Clinics - Popular shows like Survivorman and Man vs Wild are captivating
audiences nationwide, but do you have what it takes to survive? The
Cottonwood Institute is excited to host a series of FREE Survival
Skills Clinics at REI in Boulder and Denver. During these clinics you will participate in an interactive
survival scenario, learn about survival priorities, tips,
strategies, and techniques, and will learn how to make a personal
survival kit. This free clinic is brought to you by the Cottonwood
Institute, an educational nonprofit in Denver, CO that inspires students how to
change the world through an exciting blend of adventure, wilderness
survival, and environmental service. Voluntary donations will be used to help underwrite our educational

Free Winter Survival Skills Clinics - Whether you are an experienced winter camping
guru, backcountry snowboarder or skier, casual snowshoer, or a beginner,
this winter survival clinic could save your life. During this clinic you
will participate in an interactive survival scenario, learn about winter
survival priorities, tips, strategies, and techniques, learn how to make basic snow shelters, and will learn
how to make a personal survival kit. This free clinic is brought to you by the
Cottonwood Institute, a non-profit in Denver, CO that inspires students
how to change the world through an exciting blend of adventure,
wilderness survival, and environmental service. Voluntary donations to

Base Camp Bash:
The Cottonwood Institute is proud to host our 3rd Annual Base Camp Bash Fundraising Event on Friday, March 28, 2008 from 7 - 10pm at the Wynkoop Brewing Company in Lower Downtown Denver and we would like to invite you to participate in this
wonderful community event! During the Base Camp Bash, we will host a
silent auction to raise money to help underwrite the Community Adventure Program at public schools in the Boulder/Denver area and to help raise money for our General
Scholarship Fund for students to attend our 2008 Summer Courses.
Survivorman Movie Night - The Cottonwood Institute is excited to partner with REI to host a
Survivorman Movie Night. We will watch an episode of the hit television
show Survivorman and host an informal discussion to share survival
priorities, tips, strategies, and techniques. This free clinic is
brought to you by the Cottonwood Institute, an educational nonprofit in
Denver, CO that inspires students how to change the world through an
exciting blend of adventure, wilderness survival, and environmental

Colorado Environmental Film Festival -
Come join the Cottonwood Institute at the Colorado Environmental Film
Festival Friday, November 2nd, 2007 from 4:00pm - 9:00pm and Saturday,
November 3rd, 2007 from 11:00am - 9:00pm. The
Colorado Environmental Film Festival is presented by the Colorado Alliance for
Environmental Education and is a celebration of the power of
film to inspire, educate, and motivate audiences. We will present
thought-provoking films and
dialog that raise awareness of a wide variety of interconnected
ecological,
social, and economic themes. We hope to
provide an experience for our audiences that goes beyond just passive

Boulder Adventure Film Festival, May 12th & 13th, 2007, Boulder Theater. Our
very own, homegrown, gritty, raw Film Fest! The Cottonwood Institute is
excited to be the beneficiary of this year's festival! This

of the year encompasses all aspects of adventure, from serious
exploration to environmental heroism to gripping tales from the edges

workshop at the Dairy Center for the Arts and then moves in to the best
