Cheers to a Successful Year: Donor Happy Hour 2017

Cottonwood Institute Donor Happy Hour 2017It has been another amazing year at Cottonwood Institute (CI)! We are happy to report that over the past year, CI has delivered 18,729 program contact hours through 33 programs serving 481 students, and more than 7,000 service learning project hours.

None of this would be possible without the amazing support of our generous donors. They make it possible for CI to continue spreading our mission of connecting underserved students to the outdoors and empowering them to make change in their communities.

Such success calls for a party! On a chilly night in November, friends of CI were invited to a happy hour at Industry Denver, a co-working space in the RiNo district, to be honored for their role in making our work possible!

Cottonwood Institute Donor Happy Hour 2017As guests mingled, they were treated to delicious beer from Great Divide Brewing Company, wine, and yummy food from Dunbar Kitchen & Tap House.

During a short presentation, CI Executive Director Ford Church shared an update and our Best of 2017 Video. Two of our rock star board members, Joshua Peterson and Rivers Stilwell, shared what brought them to CI. We ended the evening by honoring 2 of our field and CAP program instructors, Zach Booz and Rose Conry, and selecting 5 lucky guests to score prizes in our giveaway, including sweet prizes from Patagonia Denver Store, Maroon Bell Outdoor, and Snooze!

Cottonwood Institute board and staff would like to thank all of our donors, partners, sponsors, instructors, and students for all of their hard work and support in making this a wonderful year! Here’s to many more years of amazing programs, adventures, service, learning, leadership and changing the world!
